HISTORY OF THE FOUNDING OF THE INSTITUTION

The Light House School of Learning and Diversity was established in 2017 with a view to providing quality education for all the children of west Bogura. This institution is situated at Muruil of Kahaloo Upazilla. It was inaugurated by the eminent writer and novelist Salina Hussain and Ekushe medal laureate Palan Sarker.

The vision of the school is to provide 21st-century work-oriented education. And the mission of the school is to provide inclusive education, equity, and equality in education, including nationalism and patriotism, transmitting cultural heritage, developing productive skills, acquisition of skills for solving social problems, contributing to national and global development.

At the beginning of 2018, the Light House School of Learning and Diversity started its academic activities. The school activities are being led by seven members of the School Managing Committee comprised of renowned educators and social workers. Mr. Harun Or Rashid, the Chief Executive of Light House and the founder of the school is the President of SMC.

Academic functions are conducting from Pre-Primary to eighth grade. Teaching-learning activities are being conducted with eighteen teachers and staff. The school has a current population of 202 and has transport facilities for all students. By the end of the PSC exam of 2019, there are eight students got GPA-5 out of thirteen.

About thirty students will take part in the up-coming PSC and JSC exam. In addition to the coaching classes, various co-curricular activities have been undertaken to develop the talent of the students. In many areas of Discipline, students are leaving a mark of achievement. The local grassroots people are deeply grateful to Mr. Harun or Rashid, The Chief Executive of Light House and founder of Light House of Learning and Diversity, for taking this great initiative to spread modern technology-based education

Greetings to all of beloved Parents, Guardians and Students,

I am excited to present a newly developed website; one that we envision will expand and grow to accommodate all your needs.

We hope that this site will serve as a useful tool and enable parents and students to access information more easily, such as the school calendar, ongoing events and schedule changes.

We will have individual website logins that will enable each student and family member to access information and communicate directly with us. Additionally, during emergencies and other condition/situations that disrupt the academic calendar, students and parents (from class I to VIII) will be able to access homework online that will be uploaded by the teachers. Our hope is to enable learning even in challenging situations.

To further facilitate matters, we hope to inaugurate part of the Admission Procedure online and have school fees paid in the same manner.

I had a dream to establish school children who are underprivileged and will be used to technologies and access to diversitised knowledge. It is a one step move to launch a web page for a rural school.

We look forward to your feedback on this new endeavor at the start of the 2021-2022 academic year.
